The Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI), led by President Yeong-Soo Han, held the first overseas legal expert lecture of 2025 under the MILE (Meeting of International Legal Experts) program on Wednesday, February 5, at the KLRI Main Conference Room. The lecture featured Professor Min Youngmi of Peking University as the guest speaker.

The lecture, titled “Legislative Exchange in China: A Case Study of Korean Law Courses at Peking University,” was designed to introduce the content of Korean law lectures offered at Peking University and to discuss the future direction of Korean law education in China.

Professor Min provided an overview of the Korean law curriculum taught at Peking University, which comprehensively covers various fields such as constitutional law, civil law, and criminal law. She emphasized that the courses are structured to promote deep understanding through the use of practical case studies. She also noted that Korean law education plays an increasingly important role among Chinese legal professionals and contributes to strengthening legal exchanges between Korea and China.

KLRI continues to operate the MILE program as a platform for research exchange by inviting international legal experts to identify and discuss key global legislative issues.
