The Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI), led by President Yeong-Soo Han, held the “2024 Research Outcomes Presentation” on Thursday, March 20, at 1:30 PM in the KLRI Main Conference Room in Sejong.
This event was organized to share and disseminate the Institute’s major research achievements from the past year. Held under the theme of KLRI Insight, the presentation highlighted the ideas and insights generated through the Institute’s research and reflected KLRI’s core values of K-strategy (Korean-style Strategy), Leading-Legislation, Responsibility, and Innovation. These values guide KLRI’s commitment to providing meaningful legislative insights for real-world policy and lawmaking.
The program featured presentations on two Basic Research Projects, two General and Specific Research Projects, and three Research Fellowship Projects, followed by a comprehensive discussion session.
In the Basic Research session, Sohn Hyun, Head of the Task Force for Legislative Issues, presented on “Reorganization of the Administrative Legal System Following the Enactment and Enforcement of the Framework Act on Administrative Affairs,” which was a priority research topic for KLRI in 2024. Senior Research Fellow Hyun Dae-Ho also shared findings from his study on “Legislation for Monitoring and Predicting Climate Change.”
In the second session, Park Se-Hoon, Head of the Regulatory Innovation and Fiscal Legislation Team, presented the results of the “Regulatory Innovation Legislation Research Project,” while Research Fellow Lee Yoo-Bong introduced research on “Legislative Studies for AI Impact Assessments.”
President Yeong-Soo Han remarked, “KLRI is committed to strengthening its research expertise in line with the evolving demands of our time under our vision of being ‘K.L.R.I., Korea’s Legislative Think Tank Designing the Future.’ We will continue our efforts to create legislative policies that are truly felt by the public, and we ask for your continued interest and support as we shape a better future through legislative research.”
As Korea’s only national think tank dedicated to legislative studies, KLRI publishes more than 400 reports and publications annually across a wide range of legal and policy areas.
