KLRI Hosts Training Program for Nepal Ministry of Law Officials

The Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI), led by President Yeong-Soo Han, hosted a training program for officials from the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs of Nepal on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the KLRI Medium Conference Room.
This training was part of the 2025 Korea Legislative Exchange and Cooperation Program and aimed to share Korea’s experience in establishing and operating a legislative information system. The program was designed to help enhance the capacity of Nepali legal officials and support the modernization of public administration in Nepal.
During the visit, the delegation toured key facilities including the KLRI Library, Media Studio, and Statutory Translation Center. Participants were introduced to the Institute’s digital legislative infrastructure and learned about its operational procedures through on-site explanations.
The training session also included presentations by KLRI experts: Jeong Hyejin, Manager of the Statutory Translation Team, introduced the development and demonstration of KLRI’s AI-based English statute translation system, and Jang Heeji from the Legislative Exchange and Cooperation Team shared case studies of Korea’s legislative cooperation and international partnership programs.
Through the program, the Nepali delegation gained valuable insight into Korea’s legislative digitalization efforts and engaged in practical discussions on potential areas for future collaboration.
