Ⅰ. Introduction
▶ Related Policy Issue and Necessity of Research
○ With the rapid development and dissemination of generative artificial intelligence, there is increasing interest in how the advancement of technology represented by generative AI and the automation that can be realized through it will impact society and the economy. Generative AI is expected to solve various future social issues, such as improving productivity and added value and addressing the decrease in the labour force.
○ Generative AI is expected to impact almost all jobs in the future. In particular, there is a possibility that automation will occur in high-income professional jobs, raising concerns about the potential for mass unemployment and the widening of economic disparities.
○ As changes in the labour market due to the introduction of AI are expected in the future, it is necessary to analyze the impact on the status of workers and the existing labour market structure from a proactive perspective, and to identify and prepare countermeasures for legal issues that may arise in labour legislation.
▶ Purpose of Research
○ Regarding the changes in the labour market due to artificial intelligence, we aim to identify and analyze various and challenging legal (labour law) issues that require reconsideration of the essence of existing orders and systems from the perspective of technological innovation, as well as from the perspective of preventing potential risks or side effects.
 
Ⅱ. Main Contents
▶ Survey Results Analysis
○ Investigating the current state of AI adoption in industries such as finance, manufacturing, and IT, focusing on different sectors, purposes of use, types of usage, and forms of implementation.
▶ International Trends Analysis
○ Analyzing the AI executive order of the United States, the AI Act of the EU, and the AI principles of the OECD Employment, Labour and Social Affairs Committee to derive labor law challenges.
▶ Legislative Issue Analysis
○ Analyzing labor law challenges in response to the anticipated changes in the labour market due to the introduction of AI. This includes  recruitment, attendance management, performance evaluation, and dismissal at each stage of employment, as well as employment policies, social dialogue, and the dependency in platform labour.
 
Ⅲ. Expected Effect
▶ Academic Contribution
○ By reviewing the issues and improvement directions that can be discussed from a legal perspective in anticipation of changes in the labour market due to the development of AI, it can be used as a reference for subsequent academic research on labour market-related legislation.
▶ Legislative Contribution
○ Contributing to the establishment of a legal foundation and institutional framework to proactively prepare for changes in the labour market due to AI development, ensure the legal protection of workers affected by AI, and facilitate adaptation to various labour market policies.
