KLRI signed a memorandum of agreement with the South-North Korea Joint Compilation Association for Korean Language Dictionary

Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI, President Yeoungsoo Han) held a signing ceremony with the South-North Korea Joint Compilation Association for Korean Language Dictionary for the Memorandum of Understanding at the KLRI’s the conference room 1 on June 23 (Fri.).
   
At the ceremony which was designed to promote research and academic capabilities, the two parties agreed to cooperate closely for ▲ exchange and support for the compilation of inter-Korean legal glossary ▲ joint academic conferences, seminars and forums between the two organizations, and ▲ active cooperation in such areas as mutual advice on research projects and contemporary issues.
 
KLRI President Han said, “KLRI and the South-North Korea Joint Compilation Association will cooperate with each other to publish a dictionary for legal glossary  by analyzing legal terms that have become drifted away in the two Koreas.” He continued saying, “I hope that today becomes an opportunity to lead into substantial and long-term exchange of the two parties and we can share research outcomes and collaborate each other.”
 
Meanwhile KLRI conducts research projects necessary for the enactment and revision of the current laws on inter-Korean relations and unification, and also carries out projects to support the foundation of unification legislation research. It also published a dictionary of North Korean legal terms.
