New MoU Completed between KLRI and Korean Society of Mediation

Korea Legislation Research Institute (President Kye-Hong Kim) and Korean Society of Mediation (Chairman Yong-Sup Kim) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand mutual cooperation in research and education at KLRI Conference Room 1 on April 12 (Mon.).
 
Major items agreed include joint research and joint academic seminars, participants in each other’s events, sharing, using, and exchanging of research data, reports and other materials. 
 
“There are still many aspects to be improved in the field of dispute resolution,” said KLRI President Kye-Hong Kim. “I hope that we can continue discuss and improve the relevant systems based on this agreement.”
 
Chairperson of the Korea Society of Mediation Yong-Sup Kim said, “KLRI has been continuously studying the status quo of dispute issues and the mediation system.” He continued to say, “I hope that we put efforts together in placing a cooperative system that would lead the development of dispute settlement area.”
 
Taking the signing of the MoU as an opportunity, the two organizations would create a forum for communication and exchanges by organizing a conference to discuss the status and prospects of the mediation system in the Asia and the Pacific.
