KLRI held the 2022 Initiation Research Council for Basic and General Research Projects

Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI, President Kye-Hong Kim) held the 2022 Initiation Research Council for Basic and General Research Projects at Conference Room of KLRI in consecutive 3 days from February 21th (Mon) to 23rd (Wed).

The subjects of this council span over total 21 research projects, including 13 basic research projects and 8 general ones which were selected in 2022. The research manager of each project presented the yearly plans and the Q&A sessions for all the participants was followed. As in last year, an hour-long discussion with research manager, research committee and participating staff was proceeded to have in-depth discussion on operation plans and contents of each research project.

On the first day (February 21th), 7 basic research projects were deliberated with moderating by Joung-Mee Han, Director of the Department of Future Legislation Projects. Deliberation and discussion were made on ▲ Research on AI-based administration, ▲ Reorganization of Labor Laws following the enforcement of Basic Administrative Act, ▲ Legislative research for rational standard of imposing fines ▲ Research for reorganization of special laws ▲ Research on legislative record of fire facilities, ▲ Research on housing supply laws, ▲ Research on public transportation laws for its promotion and balanced development.

On February 22th and 23rd, overall 8 general research projects were deliberated, including ▲ Research on how to improve legislation to promote and foster the cultural industry, ▲ Legal Exchange Support Project (XV), ▲ Legislative Evaluation Research Project (XVI), and Social Value Legislation Research Project (IV).

Participants actively exchanged the advice for promoting the high-quality research output, and the research manager of each project declared to gear up their projects based on the opinions of deliberation committee.
