KLRI held the 59th Legislative Policy Forum

Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI, President Yeong-soo Han) held the 59th Legislative Policy Forum with the invited speaker of Chun-sig Kim, President of Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU) on the theme of ‘Changes in the International Situation and Unification Policy of the Yoon Suk-Yeol Government’ on December 21 (Thur.) at the Rose Room of Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas (5fl.).
KINU President Kim presented the gist of the ‘Bold Initiative’, the backbone policy on North Korea of the Yoon Suk-Yeol Government, based on his forty year-experience on research concerning unification. He also presented a future direction for unification.
KINU President Kim said, “Giving up on unification is like giving up on the opportunity of growing Korea double its size, power, and wealth for the people.” He emphasized on the imperative need of unification by saying, “Giving up on unification is like giving up on our dream. A nation and people without a dream shall perish.”
Meanwhile, KLRI has been holding Legislative Policy Forum by inviting experts from various fields to share legislative achievements and discover new legislative tasks. Previous guest speakers including Supreme Court Justice Cheol-sang Ahn, Minister of Government Legislation Wan-kyu Lee, and Administrator of Rural Development Administration Jae-ho Cho have made impressive presentations under various topics.
