KLRI Hosts Final Research Review for 2024 Basic Research Projects

The Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI), led by President Han Young-soo, will hold the “Final Research Review for 2024 Basic Research Projects” over two days, Tuesday, October 15, and Wednesday, October 16, in the institute’s main conference room.
  
The review will evaluate 12 basic research projects. For each project, the research director will present their findings, followed by reviews and questions from internal and external review panel members. Discussions will also include responses from the research directors and inquiries from research staff. Each project is allocated one hour to facilitate in-depth discussions among the research directors, reviewers, and participating researchers.
  
On the first day, October 15, six projects will be reviewed under the moderation of Lee Sang-yoon, Director of the Research Division. The projects include:
  
A Study on Revising the Administrative Legal System Following the Enactment and Implementation of the "Basic Administrative Act"
Legislative Research on Social Integration, Focusing on Foreign Policy
A Study on Improving Regulatory Impact Assessment Systems in Legislation
A Study on the Concept of Vulnerable Groups in Legislation and the Protection of Their Rights
Legislative Research on Fair Competition and Financial Stability for BigTech Finance
A Study on Rational Regulatory Frameworks to Promote Fair Competition in the OTT Platform Market
On the second day, October 16, the following six projects will be reviewed:
 
A Study on Legislative Models for Agreement Systems in Legislation
Legislative Research on Preventing and Addressing Social Isolation
A Study on Legal Frameworks for the Expansion of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) in Future Mobility
Legislative Research to Strengthen the Systematic Operation and Effectiveness of Administrative Committees
Constitutional Research on Addressing Social Changes
A Study on Improving Legal Measures to Prevent and Address School Violence
In addition, reviews for nine general research projects will be held in November as part of the final research review process.
