KLRI holds the 3rd Global Legal Forum

Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI) (President Kye-Hong Kim) held the 3rd Global Forum under the theme of ‘Data Governance: Issues and Challenges with a focus on the EU Data Governance Bill’ on May 17 (Fri., 1:30pm) at KLRI Conference room.
 
The forum consisted of presentations, designated discussions, and questions and answers among all participants. Professor Cheon-Soo Yang at Yeungnam University School of Law presented on the establishment and development of data law and introduced the main contents of the European Union's Data Governance bill. He then stressed out ‘the establishment of a legal foundation for data utilization,’ ‘the attribution of data,’ and ‘institutionalizing data access, movement, reuse, and sharing’ as tasks to implement data governance in response to the requests of a society.
 
Following after his presentation, Dr. Hyung-Gun Kim, Senior Research Fellow and Won-Joon Jeong, Senior Researcher at KLRI discussed on the contents of the presentation.
 
KLRI plans to expand its expert exchanges and continue hosting forums to develop legislative alternatives to global and national issues.
