Korea Legislation Research Institute held an academic conference commemorating 32nd anniversary of its opening

Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI, President Kye-Hong Kim) held an academic conference commemorating the 32nd anniversary of its opening at the conference room of the KLRI under the theme of “Legislative Tasks in People's Life according to Times Change” along with the Korea Legal Society and the Beopyeon Association on July 21 (Thu).
 
This conference was organized by the KLRI, which celebrated its 32nd anniversary, to explore legislative tasks in people’s life according to the times change.
 
KLRI President, Kye-Hong Kim addressed, “People’s lives are rapidly changing due to the disruptions of the global social environment brought by COVID-19” and finished his opening speech, hoping that “a variety of measures on how to improve the legislation that people can feel would be discussed in this conference.” 
 
In this commemorative conference, Professor Joon-Hee Jung, an adjunct professor of the Department of Information and Social Media at Hanyang University and host of MBC's "100 Minute Debate," was invited to give a special lecture. Under the theme of "How is the law reproduced through the media?", the media as legislation along with the formation of popular images of law and knowledge through the media were discussed.
 
Meanwhile, KLRI has been publishing over 2,600 legislative research reports as well as providing legislative improvement suggestions  since its opening in 1990. It has been leading the legislative research for the people’s happiness focusing on the pending topics such as housing, employment and jobs. public transportation care for children and the elderly, change in family system, and resident registration system.
