KLRI-KPLA jointly held the ‘2022 Korean Public Law Scholars Conference’

Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI, President Kye-Hong Kim) and Korean Public Law Association (KPLA, President Jung-Won Seon) jointly held the 2022 Korean Public Law Scholars Conference under the theme of “Changes in Korean Society and Reorganization of National Theory in the Era of Big Transformation” at conference room of COEX on September 16th (Fri, 10 a.m.~ 6 p.m.).
 
The conference was organized to discuss on “Role of nation” in perspective of public law with regard to the desirable role of nation and mission to respond the rapid social changes in the time of persistent COVID-19.
 
This event, which was attended by over 100 experts in public law of domestic academia and research institutes, showcased overall 17 speeches and discussions under the theme of ▲ Role of nation to protect future generations, ▲ Legislative analysis on regulatory governance of risks, ▲ Financial legislative tasks to overcome local crises ▲ Role and development of the national theory to ensure social security.
 
KLRI’s President, Kye-Hong Kim stressed, “Having passed the period of rapid growth in the era of industrialization and the era of democratization, now we are facing with another crisis, when the role of nation is more important than ever,” and remarked that this conference would serve a venue to suggest desirable duties and roles in response to the rapid social changes and establish the new national theory.
 
Serving as “a legislative research platform to suggest future-oriented legislative alternatives”, KLRI will endeavor to closely communicate with experts in various fields on legislative policy issues reflecting the change of times, and seek for countermeasures.
