KLRI held the 18th ALIN International Conference

Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI, President Kye-Hong KIm) held the 18th ALIN International Conference under the theme of “Legal and Policy Framework on Green Energy: with a focus on hydrogen and electric vehicles” at El Tower on October 21 (Fri, 1 p.m.). 
 
ALIN (Asia Legal Information Network), which is operated by KLRI as the secretariat, has been established to exchange legal information among asian countries thereby enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation in the region. With membership of 18 countries in Asia and 34 law schools and research institutes, ALIN has been conducting annual research activities such as academic conference, experts forum and joint research.
 
Sessions was divided into South Asia, Oceania & Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and East Asia, and presenters from 14 Asian countries, including Korea, Australia, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, and India shared their legal status and policies on hydrogen and electric vehicles.
 
Kye-Hong Kim, President of KLRI said, "Each country actively encourages clean energy development and use, and various policies are being implemented to encourage the use of electric and hydrogen cars," hoping that the conference would be the forum to discuss ways to establish rational legislative policies to cope with climate change by sharing relevant legal information and experiences of Asian countries.
