Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI, President Yeong-soo Han) and the Ministry of Government Legislation (Minister Wan-kyu Lee) jointly hosted ‘2023 Administrative Law Forum, The Era of Change and Innovation, and Future of Administrative Law’ on November 10 (Fri.) at M Gallery of Hotel Naru Seoul. The forum was organized jointly by eight academic associations representing the administrative law and public law field.

The forum started with the opening speech by Minister Wan-kyu Lee, followed by the welcoming speech by KLRI president Han and the congratulatory speech by Former Chancellor of Daegu University Yeon-heun Park. It had two breakout sessions under the topics of ▲ social change and the future of administrative legislation and ▲ national innovation and the future of administrative legislation. Experts from the eight academic associations participated in-depth discussion.

Each academic association discussed the direction of the development of the administrative legislation in response to social changes and the future of the administrative legislation in order for the government to bring innovation to various policies.

KLRI President Han said in the welcoming speech, “I hope today’s meaningful discussion lays a foundation for the future development of the administrative law system.” He continued saying, “Global uncertainty is growing day by day. We are facing changes such as local extinction and population extinction that were unthinkable even only a decade ago. In this regard, it is time for serious consideration and discussion to respond to changes in the areas of the administrative legislation that is the basis of the establishment of government policy.”
